Each of the three Science Academies, IAS, INSA and NASI, has about 100 women fellows, which constitutes about 10% of the total fellowship. IAS and INSA also have five year fellowships for young associate scientists, Young Associates of IAS and Indian National Young Academy of Science (INYAS), respectively. The representation of the women fellows is better (25%) amongst the young associates.
